33 Chilean Miners, Will They Pass The Spiritual Test?

One year ago last month, a billion people were glued to their T.V’s to watch the most incredible international rescue to date.

I took great interest in this rescue as it had so many amazing sign posts, not only for the miners but for humanity.

The million dollar questions, will the 33 Chilean Miners be able to have the strength to move beyond the human emotions and handicaps to pass this spiritual test? And will their experience be revered, shared and handed down, like many of the ancient stories of their heritage? I believe only if they get to a higher level of understanding. We hear now, they are struggling with post traumatic stress disorder and poverty. So many felt they were set for life, financially. With a book and movie in the works, we shall see how this all plays out!

It all began with the number 33. And then, unbelievably, how the 33 were found, like a needle in a haystack. They drilled through solid rock a 1/2 mile down, guessing at the location? What? Moving on to the amazing white butterfly who didn’t lie. A sign that they would be rescued. How exceptionally organized they were. They even thought of a clergy. And then, the astounding rescue, watched by a billion people? What? A billion people? That’s a miracle in itself! Never in the history of television has this occurred.

The entire experience was not just for the 33,(which I write about in my other blogs) it was for humanity. Against so many odds, every one of these men were rescued. It renewed hope ( a baby born during ordeal, named Hope), faith and trust- that the impossible has and will occur moving forward.

This was just the beginning. We will hear more miracles in the world as much of humanity is not convinced there was divine intervention involved.

Now, the curiosity is building. What actually happened deep in the womb of mother earth?

I want to mention, through the years many inhibited cave dwellings, like Abraham who was born in a cave. And Muhammad, who was enlightened in a cave. Also, the Bodhidharma, an Indian sage who introduced Zen to China. He attained enlightenment after meditating in a cave for seven years. Legend has stated that Mary Magdalene spent 30 years in a cave at Ste. Baume, France. And then there was Thomas Merton. At one point, the Catholic Church forbade anyone to pray or have rituals in caves. Why? What did they know that they didn’t want others to find out?

In my humble opinion, the miners are still in that whirl wind, confusion. Once out of it, they must look above the human experience to understand the true meaning of this ordeal. This was a test and it continues today, until they see beyond. One thing that is important, which no one covered but me, that once they faced the sun, it’s a transformer, if one is ready…How many of these men will snap out it? All or none. One or more? Time will tell.

Money won’t change what they are here to learn. It’s deeper and significant. And it will help the world.

Chilean Miners-The White Butterfly Didn’t Lie!

It has been written by various journalists that the Chilean Miners were silly and superstitious in believing the white butterfly story. If anyone missed it, there was a white butterfly that flew before the last two miners, when they drove deep in the womb of mother earth, while heavy rocks were closing in on them. The two miners believe this butterfly was delivering a message.Silly and superstitious? Perhaps these journalists are missing all the messages and messengers in their own lives? Just maybe, they’re approaching life a bit out of touch? And then, there are those who look at these sort of things as if they were part of evil. All I can say, do your research.

Also, look to the ancients. Most, if not all, had these beliefs and it was and still a way of life. Ancient teachings prevail and stories continue to be passed down as the white butterfly story and the 33 miners amazing rescue!

The difference between the journalists and the miners? Could it also be a disconnection from mother nature? Perhaps the journalists would transform their beliefs if they took a job as a miner or just spent some time in a cave. Caves change people. It’s an ancient fact!

Butterfly stores are abundant. I thought it to be appropriate today to write about an incredible butterfly story of my own as droves of people have come to my blog, curious and open to read about the connection of the white butterfly and the Chilean miners.

One summer early afternoon day I was taking a walk with one of my elder clients. This was a ritual we found healing and relaxing for her well being as she was entering a new phase in her life, wanting to stay at home, away from most people.

My client was very disturbed this day as her old boyfriend of twenty something years suddenly died and she was grieving.
I knew this was a day I needed to just let her express her feelings. There would be a point to introduce her to a few spiritual stories.

As we headed towards the end of the second block of our walk, I asked if she believed in heaven? She responded with–”of course.” All of a sudden a beautiful butterfly came fluttering towards her, circled her and landed on her shoulder. We stood there in awe.I knew this was a signal from her boyfriend telling her all was well and not to be sad…..

Funny, it didn’t circle me, only Mrs Ellis?

We both were so elated with this miracle, it took days to come down from this high. She kept asking me…” Do you think it was a signal?”

The following week we began our time together with a walk. Mrs. Ellis seemed more at peace with her loss. Rounding the corner of the second street, the same street we encountered the beautiful butterfly, the butterfly re-appears and circles Mrs. Ellis once more. The butterfly re-appears and circles once more? Incredible!

Again, only Mrs. Ellis?

At this point we were like two small children jumping for joy lasting days.I intuitively knew and shared that this was a second confirmation as there were doubts with the first encounter. Now it was very clear……

The next week I brought Mrs. Ellis a store bought silk butterfly as a reminder of this amazing experience. She placed it on the flower arrangement sitting on her dining table to remind her of this awesome experience.

Butterflies bring different messages. Since Mrs. Ellis was mourning her beloveds death, the butterfly meant his soul was telling her goodbye. What a fitting ending for a blessed story…

The miners white butterfly message? Transformation, change, growth, hope and faith. White means purity and truth. One butterfly, beginnings.

I knew the miners would be saved as messages kept coming forward.

Next time a butterfly flys around you, pay attention.

Chilean Miners Emerge From The Womb Of Mother Earth

As the world watched each miner lifted from deep within the womb of our mother earth, what comes to mind globally—- this challenging earth journey experience, the entire world is facing, in one way or another, espy moving into 2011, won’t be comfortable. Even for the more advanced spiritual individual, it has been quite challenging up to this point. The 33 miners experience may be a great example for humanity—how to get through the challenging times.

The rescue began on Oct 12th, which 1+2 = 3. Some were rescued on the 69th day, others, the 70 day. 69th= 6 day? I wonder, how many among that first group? And, in the future, would there be something significantly different that emerges from the the first group since they were rescued on a 6 day? The number 3 all along has been part of this growing puzzle throughout the 2 months the 33 miners have been trapped. Also, the total date of the first group recovery- 10/ 12/ 2010, adds up to a 7, which is the most spiritual number of all the numbers. If we break the next day numbers in the following way, it adds up to a 6. 10/13/10=6 So, in essence, this experience will be a very powerful spiritual experience for many of the miners, if not all of them.

Can you believe the rescue capsule was named “The Phoenix One?” This blends in with all the “miraculous” that has occurred! Do you want to know what this means? Phoenix symbolizes rebirth. One means, a new beginning. A new Phoenix always rises from the ashes. The capsule symbolism was more than an instrument to rescue the 33. Since there’s so many synchronicities, I wonder what will rise from this experience?

Anyone spending time in a cave, is changed forever. Please read my other blogs on this incredible subject matter.

The birthing process is never easy. But birth normally brings a wonderful gift. Will this experience change the lives of the 33? How will they inspire others?

19 year old Jimmy Sanchez stated in a letter excerpted by The Daily Mirror, ” God wanted me to stay here, I do not know why. Maybe for me to change.”

Jimmy Sanchez, your words are for humanity.

Shift foreman, Luis Urzua, 54, was the last man out. I’m interested in knowing what unfolds in this man’s life, since his leadership was credited with helping 32 others endure the first 17 days.

One thing for sure, the worldwide coverage alone could help shift those ready to change their ways.

Chilean Miners And The White Butterfly

More messages coming in from Chile.

First, a miners wife had a baby girl and named her Hope. Hope means, in spite of troubles, never give up. I repeat, never give up!

Second, a white butterfly flies in front of the 32nt and 33rd miner right before the ground gave way as they were driving down into the mind shaft..An avalanche of rocks caving in behind them. A white butterfly? One may say, how is that possible? Divine providence, I say.

I want to share what it means when a white butterfly appears in one’s life. A Butterfly is about transformation. In early Christianity, it was the symbol of the soul. Interestingly, in Christian religions, white is worn during baptism, First Communion, Confirmation and Marriage. When I traveled to the community of John of God, in Brazil, it is required everyone wear white. Many cultures have their own butterfly meanings. The Native Americans, a butterfly is a symbol of change and joy. Look for change. The butterfly will help teach that growth and change does not have to be traumatic. The color white means purity and truth. One butterfly means, beginnings.

It’s important to read my two other posts regarding the 33 miners.

The puzzle is coming together as the symbol of the 33 miners ordeal mean so much more than most can see. In the bigger scheme of things, this entire incident is telling the world, we must carry on in spite of what’s going on. The symbol of the baby girl “Hope,” we are coming into the feminine. Also, reminding us to never give up Hope! The white butterfly is telling us more change is coming! 33 miners, what they are enduring, it seems they are handling it. They’re organized. They’re working together. They have built an altar, they even pray together. This is symbolic for the world to take notice! One butterfly means, our world will be beginning a new life.

2012 here we come!

33 Chilean Miners, The Cave And Fate

Fate has it's way of wearily showing up when it's least expected. The 33 miners in Chile were laboriously tossed into the impossible unless one believes in miracles.

The first miracle, the miners were barely found under two thousand pounds of heavy rock deep within a cave dwelling. Second miracle, to be able to assist them using a small passage way that was drilled through solid rock 1/2 mile underground! WOW!

These 33 will be examples of what is possible moving into the "miraculous" of times.

And it all begins with the C A V E.

It's been said that the ancients considered caves an entrance from which all life entered, regenerated and all life exited.

Interestingly, there have been those who were significant figures in our history who had cave experiences -- like Abraham who was born in a cave. He visited cave dwelling monks in Sri Lanka in the late 60s.Thomas Merton wrote, "there's an inner cleanness, clarity, as if exploding from the rocks themselves, became evident... All problems are resolved simply because what matters is clear... Everything is emptiness and compassion....I don't know when in my life I have ever had such a sense of beauty and spiritual validity running together in one aesthetic illumination."

Throughout the centuries, cave paintings have been discovered all over the globe. There were those who lived, had their children, drew their stories, worshipped and sometimes got trapped in these mysterious places. By 376 C.E. the Vatican seized caves in an attempt to stop those who had worshiped in caves and by the 15th century, Pope Calixtus II outlawed religious ceremonies in sacred caves.

Plato's "The Allegory of the Cave" is a metaphor for transformation, enlightenment and truth.

Something significant happens when one spends time in a cave. Also expressed, when a freed man comes in contact with the sun, the minor concerns of life fades away and there's a desire to share enlightenment with others.

Will this be the fate of the 33 miners? Will they be changed when they see sunlight again?
